Everest high passes trekking includes the trekking along the 3 high passes in Khumbu (Everest) region namely Kongma La (5535m), Cho La (5381m) and Renjo La (5389m). The 3 passes trekking is different than the usual Everest Base Camp trekking trail. The high passes trekking trail branches out and rejoin the standard Everest trekking trail. The 3 high passes trekking trail is much more challenging and offers the most beautiful sight of mountain ranges. The high passes trekking trail is less explored and more scenic than the standard Everest trail. The three passes in the Everest region are higher than the popular Everest Base Camp (5360m) and comprises of steep uphill and curvy downhill walk. The three high passes trekking trail is the ultimate trail than covers the best of the Everest region. The panoramic mountains, local Sherpa culture and the beautiful trekking route provide the complete Everest region experience.

The high passes trekking route include major beautiful regions like Kalapathar (5545m), Everest Base Camp, Gokyo Lake, Gokyo Ri (5355m) and the 3 high passes. Kalapathar, Gokyo Ri and Gokyo Lake offers 360 degree panorama of the mountains and are the most popular view point in Everest region. The 3 high passes trekking is physically demanding but equally rewarding as one have the glimpses of many peaks above 7000m and some above 8000m. The towering mountains like Mount Everest (highest peak in the world), Cho Yu (8201m), Lhotse and Makalu (8463m) are the few mountains above 8000m in the Khumbu region. The travelers are rewarded with the heavenly view of beautiful mountains like Ama Dablam, Pumori, Nuptse, Cholatse etc. Apart from the mountain beauty, the Sherpa villages, highest monastery at Tengboche, rare floral and faunal species of Sagarmatha National park highlights of the high passes trail. The Khumbu region at the beginning of the trail is home for Sherpa habitants and is decorated with praying flags, stupas and prayer wheel at the monastery. Among the three high passes, Kongma La pass is the highest and Cho La pass is chilling icy Glacier pass. Renjo La pass is most recently discovered pass for traveling. The marvelous Ama Dablam peak offers the best sight surpassing all the higher peaks in that region.
