Day 01

Arrival at Kathmandu (1350m).

Upon your arrival at the international Airport at Kathmandu, our representative would pick you up and transfer to a hotel. A short briefing about the next day activities is provided and stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 02

Kathmandu Sightseeing tour and trekking preparation.

After breakfast you are guided out for the sightseeing tour of different UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. We visit different culturally significant locations such as Boudhhanath, Swayambhunath, Kathmandu durbar square and Pashupatinath. We prepare for trekking and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03

Drive to Sundarijal and Trekking from Sundarijal to Chisapani.

We enjoy our breakfat in Kathmandu and we drive to Sundarijal from Kathmandu (about 1hour). We start our hike from Sundarijal ascending through the stone steps trail. We pass through several villages like Mulkharka having beautiful sight of Kathmandu Valley. After about 5-6 hours hike, arrive at a guesthouse at Chisapani. Walk around the beautiful village and enjoy overnight stay at the guesthouse.

Day 04

Trekking from Chisapani to Kutumsang.

Early morning we enjoy the vista of sun rising from the eastern Himalayas of Nepal. We enjoy our breakfast at Chisapani and start our journey to Kutumsang. We walk through beautiful pastures and terraced lands. The trekking trail gives wonderful view of Langtang Himalaya. We descend until Gul Bhanjyang walking through several small villages. From Gul Bhanajyang the trail proceeds uphill followed by downhill descend to finally arrive at Kutumsang. We stay overnight at a guesthouse in Kutumsang.

Day 05

Trekking from Kutumsang to Thadepati.

The trekking trail from Kutumsang starts with steep uphill climb. We ascend along the ridge through the rhododendron forest. Thadepati (3690m) is the highest point of the Helambu Trekking trail and offers amazing view of Gosaikunda and Langtang Mountain. The trail to Gosaikunda trekking diverges from Thadepati. We stay overnight at a teahouse in Thadepati.

Day 06

Trekking from Thadepati to Tarkeghyang.

Today’s trekking starts with a downhill walk. After the breakfast at Thadepati we descend through a canyon and arrive at a Sherpan resident village, Melamchigaon. Melamchigaon is a village with friendly people and plenty of lodges and guesthouses. We can enjoy some moments at the village and continue our trekking crossing a bridge over Melamchi Khola. The trail ascends uphill after crossing the bridge. We arrive at Takeghyang after few hours of walk through the forest. Tarkeghyang is the biggest village of the trekking route and is inhabited by the ‘Hyolmo’ people. The village has oldest monastery of the region. We explore the village and stay overnight at a guesthouse in Tarkeghyang.

Day 07

Trekking from Tarkeghyang to Sermathang.

After the breakfast we begin our trekking to Sermathang. The trekking trail moves through the beautiful forest and waterfalls. The trekking is comparatively easier as we do not gain or lose much altitude. We arrive at Sermathang and enjoy the beautiful vista of Himalayas. Sermathang is also famous as apple growing area. We stay at a teahouse in Sermanthang.

Day 08

Trekking from Sermanthang to Melamchipul, Drive to Kathmandu and Enjoy farewell dinner.

The trekking route from Sermathang to Melamchipul is mostly downhill. We descend from Sermanthang (2590m) to Melamchipul (870m) at about 3-4 hours. We walk through several small villages with inhabitants with different ethnicity. We can see several chortens and temples along the way until we finally arrive at Melamchi. From Melamchipul bazaar we drive back to Kathmandu. We arrive at Kathmandu after couple of hours drive and move into the hotel. We enjoy traditional Nepali dance at a restaurant while having the farewell dinner offered by Lovely Nepal Tours and Travel. We stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 09

Departure.
