Day 01
Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters).
Welcome to the Himalayan country of Nepal. Representative of MMAT NEPAL receives at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. A short briefing is given to you about the activities of tomorrow. Overnight at hotel. (B & B)
Day 02
Information about trip & full day sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.
After the breakfast, you set out for the guided city sightseeing trip. Kathmandu is a city of temples. The tour escorts you to the UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites. Temples and Buddhist Stupas are the focused travelling monumental sites. Pashupatinath (Hindu shrine), Boudhanath (Buddhist Stupa), Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Stupa are some of them. The mediaeval arts and architectures are amazing. Drive back to the hotel and take a rest. Overnight at hotel. (B & B)
Day 03
Drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu (200 Kilometers). About 6 hours.
Tourist buses leave at 7 am in the morning so you have to report at 6.30 am. But, the time is flexible having a private vehicle. It is more comfortable and drive at your time. Leaving Kathmandu, the Hilly scenery astounds you. The winding road above the River, forests, villages, fields all are awesome. Reaching Pokhara, transfer to the hotel. If you like, we can get out for the boating or walk around the city. (There is also a flight option from Kathmandu to Pokhara) Overnight at hotel. (B & B)
Day 04
Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedunga. About 4 hours.
After the breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Nayapul. It takes an hour to reach there. A short walk leads you to the ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) office. Then we begin the trek, enjoying the terraced fields and green hills. The first day of the trek, we walk a short distance. First, we reach to Hile and gradually to Tikhedhunga. It is a small Gurung village, where we take a rest. Overnight at lodge. (B. L, D)
Day 05
Trek to Ghorepani (2860 meters). About 6 hours.
As we begin to walk, we cross the bridge over a stream and steadily climb up and up to Ulleri. The steep up trail looks to be a simple way, but you will experience how it feels. Really tiresome. If you try to look straight up, your hat falls down. The trail becomes easy and wide as you reach to Ulleri. Then you walk through the rhododendron forest. Ghorepani is located in the forest region, at the bottom of Poon Hill. Overnight at lodge. (B, L, D)
Day 06
Hike to Poonhill (3210m.) and trek to Tadapani (2630m). About 6 hours.
The most awaiting day. Early in the morning, we begin to ascend to the Poon Hill. The trail is fine and stone stepped. Once you reach at the top of Poon Hill, your mouth remains open. The Annapurna region and Dhaulagiri region peaks are fabulously seen. Mt. Annapurna (8091m), Fishtail, Himchuli, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri (8163m) and other peaks can be seen. The sunrise view over those snowy mountains adds more charm. Taking sufficient snaps, we hike down to Ghorepani and have a breakfast. Again, our trek begins to Ghandruk. All the way, we walk through the rhododendron and oak forest. We have a lunch at Banthanti and ascend to Tadapani. Ghandruk is about 2.5 hours walk from there. Rest at Ghandruk. Overnight at lodge. Day 07
Trek from Tadapani (2630m) to Chomrong (2170m). About 5 hours.
From Tadapani, we take a different trail approaching to Annapurna base camp. The trail is dotted with the rhododendron forests. First, we reach the Gurjung village, populated by the ethnic Gurung communities. Descending to the River, we cross it and walk to Chhomrong, which is a typical Gurung village. Overnight at lodge.
Day 08
Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan (2500 meters). About 5 hours.
After the breakfast, we trek down to the Chhomrong Khola and cross the river. Across the river, we ascend to Khuldighar. The trek goes through the forest, which is a cool excursion, enjoying the biological diversity. Bamboo forest lies ahead. Then we steeply trek down to the River bank and reach to Dovan. Overnight at lodge.
Day 09
Trek from Dovan to Deurali (3230 meters). About 5 hours.
From Dovan, the trail is dotted by the bamboo forest. The trail is moderate that is up and down. Some tea houses lie on the way. Descending to the River bank, we climb to the Hinku cave and a narrow way leads us to Deurali. The fabulous Dhaulagiri peak re-energizes us with its smooth smile. A cascading waterfall nearby Deurali is amazing. Overnight at lodge.
Day 10
Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) via Machhapuchare Base Camp (3700m). About 5-6 hours
After the breakfast, we continue to ascend and reach to the Machhapuchhre base camp. A step ahead, there lies Annapura base camp at 4130 meters. It is known as the Annapurna sanctuary, which is surrounded by the Annapurna and its surrounding peaks from three sides. The following day, we can view the golden sunrise over those snowy peaks that is incredible. Overnight at lodge in Annapurna base camp.
Day 11
Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Dovan (2630m). Overnight at guesthouse.
Through the same trail, we begin to trek down from Annapurna base camp to Dovan. Though descending is also a difficult task to do, the decreasing altitude makes the excursion more rapidly. Dovan is our stop point today at the juncture of the streams. Overnight at lodge.
Day 12
Trek from Dovan to Jhinu Danda (1760m). About 6 hours walk.
After the breakfast, we descend to Chhomrong. Today, we also explore the sheep farm, that has been experimenting to find out if it is suitable to the climate, grassy land and the development of the economy oriented farm. Walking through the rhododendron and bamboo forest, we reach to Chhomrong and walk continually to Jhinu Danda and enjoy the natural hot spring. Overnight at lodge.
Day 13
Trek from Jhinu Danda to Nayapul about 6 hours and drive 1 hour to Pokhara.
From Jhinu Danda, we walk down through the right bank of the Modi Khola and walk to Nayapul continuously. We check out from the ACAP office and catch a cab to drive Pokhara. Then transfer to the hotel. The beautiful Lakeside is a tourist hub where tourists spend their spectacular moments. Overnight at hotel. (B, L)
Day 14
Drive back to Kathmandu. About 5-6 hours.
In the morning we drive back to Kathmandu through the Prithvi Highway. Arriving Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel and rest. Overnight at hotel. (B & B) (MMAT NEPAL recommend a trip to the Chitwan National Park to enjoy the Jungle safari in Nepal. It is the most visited national park of Nepal, which is a home of one-horned rhino and the Bengal tiger).
Day 15
Transfer to international airport for your onward destination
